Founded in 2008 by Jeff Abrams, Rails was created from a passion to design and merge Southern California lifestyle with the more refined approach of the European aesthetic. Without a technical background in fashion or design, Abrams was travelling Europe on the Eurorails when the idea of what we now know and love as Rails began. To begin Abrams bought a hat which he stitched a Rails logo to and a test-run at creating a hoodie which didn’t go to plan but fans appreciated the style and aesthetic and loved the message behind the brand. The breakthrough for the brand happened when Abrams used an innovative new fabrication of Rayon-blend for shirting which hadn’t done before. As soft as cashmere but used to a classic shirt silhouette, Rayon-blend fabrication has become a main staple for the brand. Moving on into modern day, Rails create timeless classics with high focus on the fabrication and garment production of each style every season.

Fashion women’s Rails Loren shacket

The Loren shacket is a soft military inspired shirt jacket that can be worn open with your favourite tee or buttoned up. This classic style has seen many revamps and updates over the seasons and has become a pinnacle style for the brand. The most popular Loren styles have featured a distressed star print, whimsical Woodstock-style embroidery and metallic gold embroidered star details. Rails uses Tencel within their fabrication a lot and specifically within the Loren style, Tencel™ is a fabric produced from sustainably grown wood and recycled chemicals. It is known to use less water and energy in the process, reducing its environmental impact. Tencel™ is also biodegradable and compostable.

Fashion women’s Rails Ingrid shirt

Another staple style from Rails is the Ingrid shirt. A fail-safe lightweight, Tencel™ blend, long sleeve, collared button-down shirt cut to a classic fit. A super soft and lightweight version of a typical shirt featuring unique detailing for a one-of-a-kind look. The Ingrid Raw shirt in Light Vintage Patch Work features a mixed light, medium, and dark blue patchwork design, vintage wash finish and remains in the classic fit to remain a versatile wardrobe staple.

Fashion women’s Rails Rumi Dress in Back Mini Gingham

A flattering pull-on dress by Rails, the Rumi style is made from a lightweight organic cotton-blend fabric for a soft feel and is complete with all-over gingham print. This style features a square neckline, smocked bodice, smocked wide shoulder straps, and ruffled panel at hem to showcase a pair of statement sandals for the sunny seasons. The Rumi dress is a perfect example of Rails’ effortless approach to stylish, easy-to-wear pieces that have fun, playful details whilst remaining a timeless staple.

Fashion women’s Rails Carmen Dress in Azalea

The Carmen dress is an ultra-feminine style cut to a flattering fit-and-flare style and cast in a bold Azalea fuchsia pink tone. The dress is made from a lightweight cotton-poplin fabric for a soft yet crisp feel and is detailed with pleating around the waist and a tiered skirt panel. This style is a perfect wedding guest outfit, just add heeled mules and subtle jewellery for a hint of glamour; or dress down for a casual lunch date with playful sneakers and a denim jacket thrown over the shoulders.
