How to wear the Karacas

We’d start with the Kashba Patchwork Jeans in Midnight Wave Blue, loafers and the Karacas. Expensive-looking, uncomplicated and very BWD.

It’s also the perfect knit underneath the Kendra Oversized Blazer in Steel Pulse Grey. We love the tonal grey-on-grey combination, particularly with relaxed blue denim or the matching Kollection Wide Legged Trousers.

Or take it in the opposite direction and wear it with chocolate-brown trousers and gold jewellery. Grey and brown together feels softer and more interesting than automatically reaching for black.

Fit & actual product measurements

Unlike many Essentiel Antwerp styles, the Karacas is designed for a close fit, gently following the shape of the body rather than sitting oversized. The model is 5’10” and wears a size S.

The 40″ chest is calculated from the published 20″ flat chest measurement; Essentiel itself lists the front length as 22″.

A BWD note on Essentiel sizing: this is not one of Essentiel’s oversized styles. The Karacas is deliberately designed to sit closer to the body, so we wouldn’t automatically size down as we often do with the brand. Start with your usual size for the intended fit, or consider sizing up if you prefer your cashmere a little more relaxed.

Care

This is cashmere, so a little kindness goes a long way. Hand wash as directed by Essentiel Antwerp using a gentle wool/cashmere detergent, reshape while damp and dry flat. Store folded rather than hanging to help the knit keep its shape.

No bells. No whistles. Just 100% cashmere in exactly the right shade of grey. Sometimes Essentiel knows when to leave well alone.
