The Essentiel Antwerp Karismatic Pussy Bow Tie Top in Sky Blue is a women’s oversized light-blue blouse with a statement pussy-bow neckline, softly gathered neck and wonderfully voluminous puff sleeves. Cut from a lightweight TENCEL™ lyocell-blend fabric, it has a fluid drape that stops all that volume feeling remotely stiff or fussy.

How to wear the Karismatic

Our first choice would be the Kashba Patchwork Jeans in Midnight Wave Blue. Blue-on-blue, fabulous proportions and very little else required. Add loafers and a good belt.

For something smarter, wear it with the Kollection Wide Legged Trousers in Steel Pulse Grey. We’d tuck a little of the blouse at the front to give all that volume some definition.

Sky blue also looks brilliant with chocolate brown. Try it with brown tailoring or trousers and gold jewellery for a softer alternative to black.

How do you wear a pussy-bow blouse without looking too prim? Make everything else less polite. Relaxed denim, wide trousers, oversized tailoring, loafers or trainers. And don’t feel obliged to tie the bow perfectly — we actually prefer it with a little attitude.

The Karismatic is intentionally oversized with deep armholes, a fluid body and exaggerated sleeves. It runs generously, so sizing down is worth considering if you want less volume. The model is 5’10” and wears a size S.

A BWD note on Essentiel sizing: Essentiel Antwerp is known for relaxed, oversized and exaggerated silhouettes. In some deliberately oversized pieces, a nominal UK 4 can comfortably work on someone who would usually wear a UK 8. The Karismatic is definitely one of the roomier styles, so we’d consider sizing down depending on how dramatic you want the silhouette.
