How to wear the Boston Cashmere Jumper

For something smarter, wear it with wide-leg grey tailoring and a belt, or tuck a little at the front into chocolate-brown trousers. Black and brown together is one of our favourite combinations.

It’s also the perfect layer underneath a statement jacket. When the jacket is doing something fabulous, the knit underneath really doesn’t need to compete.

What can you wear with a black cashmere jumper? Frankly, it might be quicker to list what you can’t. Blue denim, grey tailoring, cream trousers, brown, burgundy, skirts, leather — this is wardrobe glue.

The Boston is designed with a loose fit and raglan sleeves, so expect some ease through the body rather than a close-fitting cashmere shape. Samsøe Samsøe’s model is 177cm and wears a size S.

Care

Cashmere deserves a little looking after. Samsøe Samsøe recommends gentle care: hand wash or dry clean, use mild detergent and cool water, avoid wringing or twisting and allow it to air dry naturally. Store folded rather than hanging and gently remove any pilling when needed.

Possibly the least exciting thing you’ll buy. Quite possibly the thing you’ll wear the most. That’s a very BWD kind of purchase.
