The Samsoe Samsoe Salo V-Neck Knit in Grey Melange is exactly the sort of piece we buy at BWD because we know it’ll actually be worn. Soft, understated and effortlessly Scandinavian, it’s the knit you pull on when you don’t want to think too hard about getting dressed—but still want to look good.

The Grey Melange keeps things beautifully neutral, while the V-neck gives it a slightly more feminine, flattering feel than your standard crew neck. Simple? Absolutely. Boring? Not a chance.

This is proper wardrobe mileage.

How we’d wear it…

Slightly oversized with relaxed blue denim, loafers and a great belt for everyday, or with black wide-leg trousers and trainers for an easy Scandi look. We’d also layer a crisp white tee underneath, let it peek out at the neckline and cuffs, then add gold jewellery and push the sleeves up.

And when spring arrives? Over the shoulders with a white shirt. Very European. Very little effort.

Care

Wash gently according to the care label, ideally using a specialist wool or delicate detergent where appropriate. Reshape whilst damp and dry flat to help maintain the knit’s shape. Avoid tumble drying and store folded rather than hanging.

We’re not interested in filling wardrobes for the sake of it. We want the pieces you’ll wear, wash and immediately want to wear again. This has that written all over it.
