Half-term wardrobe heroes: our staycation and vacation must-haves.
Whether you’re planning a stay-cay or va-cay this May/June half term, the need for some fresh, feel-good fashion-action is a heart-felt one!
It looks like the majority of us will be staying in the UK for now with international travel restrictions in place for the time being. Though it won’t quite be the same as lying under the scorching sun in Santorini or St Tropez, we’re grateful for any break we can get to spend some quality time with our besties & loved ones. We’re crossing fingers (and toes) that we get the awesome weather the met office have been promising us too. What a total treat that would be.
We’re seeing this half term as an opportunity to sport all those pieces we have been DYING to buy or wear but have, until now, had nowhere to go so we’ve pulled together some of our top picks for ALL occasions, day and night. Ok, let’s start with our latest denim obsession: the FRAME Heritage Piper Released Hem in Peralta Rips. These are an uber-comfortable, straight leg, distressed jean that feel like your’e wearing some old faves from years ago. From the team’s first-hand experience, these are the go-to choice for those struggling to make the transition from stretch denim (or even Pj bottoms) to rigid denim jeans. They’re super stylish & versatile and can be worn with a Ragdoll t-shirt, Anine Bing tiger sweatshirt, Bella Freud jumper or 1/Off Paris blazer. They’re ideal for travelling or simply mooching in the ‘hood whilst looking pretty damn cool.
If you’re looking for a pair of jeans that are not a traditional blue denim, the Paige Mayslie jogger in Vintage Ivy Green is a great option. They’re an ace choice for comfort because of the elasticated waist and ‘slouchy jogger’ look. Size wise, we recommend taking your regular stretch-denim size.
