The Day Birger et Mikkelsen Bono Pinstripe Blazer in Grey Pinstripe takes something traditionally very smart and makes it feel altogether cooler. The grey pinstripe gives it that borrowed-from-the-boys attitude we love, while still being neutral enough to work with half your wardrobe.

This is exactly how we like our tailoring at BWD—relaxed, slightly oversized in spirit and never saved exclusively for work.

Because a really good blazer should spend considerably more time with jeans than it does in a meeting.

Why it made the cut

• The grey pinstripe gives classic tailoring a modern, slightly boyish edge.
• It’s patterned, but still behaves like a neutral.
• Throw it over something simple and the outfit is essentially done.
• Wear it separately or with the Day Hedi Trouser in Grey Pinstripe for the full suit.
• It’s the kind of piece that makes old jeans and a white tee suddenly feel new again. That’s proper wardrobe value.

How we’d wear it…

Over a white tee with relaxed blue denim and loafers, sleeves pushed up and nothing too pristine.

For the full pinstripe suit, add the matching Hedi Trouser, but keep everything else deliberately relaxed—a simple tee, trainers or loafers and great sunglasses.

We’d also throw it over black trousers with the Sindi Soft Lamb Jumper in Dark Grey Melange for a tonal grey-and-black combination.

Basically, anything except a stiff white shirt and briefcase. We’re not going there.

Care

Dry clean where recommended to help preserve the structure and finish of the tailoring. Steam lightly between wears and store on a good structured hanger. Always follow the garment care label for the specific fabric composition.

A great blazer has one job: make whatever you’re already wearing look better. This one takes the responsibility very seriously.
