The Samsøe Samsøe Alexa Long Sleeve Tee in Dark Grey Melange is a women’s slim-fitting long-sleeved T-shirt made from soft organic cotton jersey with added stretch. With its neat round neckline, fitted silhouette and beautifully useful charcoal-grey marl, it’s made for layering — although it’s more than capable of holding its own with a great pair of jeans.

How to wear the Alexa Tee

We’d start with blue barrel-leg jeans, a brown belt and loafers. Add an oversized blazer or bomber when required.

It’s also brilliant with black wide-leg trousers for an easy tonal look, or underneath the Boston O-Neck Cashmere Jumper in Grey with just a little of the darker grey showing at the neck and cuffs.

And don’t overlook grey with brown. Dark Grey Melange tucked into chocolate trousers with gold jewellery is considerably more interesting than automatically reaching for black.

What do you wear with a dark grey long-sleeved T-shirt? Pretty much anything. Treat it as a softer alternative to black — denim for everyday, cream for contrast, brown for something richer and grey tailoring when you’re feeling particularly Scandinavian.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C with similar dark colours. Avoid tumble drying where possible and reshape before air drying to help maintain the fitted silhouette.

Not every wardrobe hero wears a cape. Some are just very good grey T-shirts that happen to be clean when you need them.
