The Samsøe Samsøe Anour O-Neck Jumper in Mulch Dott Brown is a women’s brown spotted jumper knitted from a beautifully soft wool and alpaca blend. Designed with a relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, long sleeves and a higher round neckline, it has that easy Scandinavian shape Samsøe Samsøe does particularly well. The Mulch Dott colourway adds a subtle dot pattern to the rich brown base, giving you interest without turning it into a difficult-to-wear print.

How to wear the Anour Jumper

Blue denim is the obvious answer. We’d wear the Anour with relaxed or barrel-leg jeans, a black or brown belt and loafers.

It would also look particularly good with the Saagneta Long Skirt in Black for a tonal Samsøe look, or break up all that brown with black wide-leg trousers and a loafer.

For something lighter, put it with cream or off-white trousers. The contrast makes the Mulch Brown feel fresher and lets the dot pattern stand out.

What colours go with a brown patterned jumper? Cream and white brighten it, denim blue keeps it casual, black and charcoal make it cooler, and burgundy works beautifully if you want another autumnal colour in the mix.

Brown really isn’t difficult. We’ve all wasted years believing otherwise.

The Anour has a loose, relaxed fit with a straight shape and is described by retailers as true to size. The model is 5′10″ and wears a size S.

We’d stay close to your usual size for the intended relaxed Samsøe silhouette, or size down if you prefer your knitwear a little neater.

Care

Hand wash gently and avoid tumble drying. Reshape while damp and dry flat to help preserve the softness and shape of the wool-alpaca knit. As with any fluffy natural-fibre knit, we’d wash it only when it genuinely needs it.
